Loretta Lynn Kicks It Into High Gear With New Tour

Hall of Fame singer embarks on new outing supporting Still Country.

Country Music Hall of Fame member Loretta Lynn, continuing her return to an active career, begins a new tour on Saturday with a concert at Billy Bob's Texas, the Fort Worth nightclub that bills itself as the world's largest honky-tonk.

Lynn, returning to the spotlight after several years away to deal with a string of family tragedies, last year released her first new album in more than a decade, Still Country. The disc features the new single "I Can't Hear the Music" (RealAudio excerpt), about the 1996 death of her husband of 48 years, Oliver V. "Mooney" Lynn.
