Tonic To Play "American Pie" Bake-Off

Tonic will serve as the musical ingredient for "The Master Bake-Off Competition," a promotional stunt being held at the Globe Theater in Universal City, California on May 15 in conjunction with the release of a sell-through version of "American Pie" on home video.

The band, which is currently opening up for Third Eye Blind on the Dragons and Astronauts Tour, will be on hand to perform "You Wanted More," the hit single Tonic originally recorded for the "American Pie" soundtrack and which also appears on its "Sugar" album.

Five finalists, selected from online entrants at www.universalstudios.com, will participate in "The Master Bake-Off," which will feature the contestants whipping up their most irreverently tasty dishes and recipes.

Cast members from "American Pie" will select the winner of the cooking competition, who will receive a price package, including cash, music, and movies from Universal

Studios.

Tonic will head to Atlantic City on March 31 to play a one-off show at the Trump Marina before rejoining Third Eye Blind's Dragons and Astronauts Tour for an April 1 concert at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia.
