Adam Sandler Starts Writing New Album In Between Film Projects

Fresh off the success of "The Waterboy," comedian-turned-$20 million actor Adam Sandler is continuing to keep busy these days, with two movies in the works and another album in the writing stages.

No word yet on when the album, the follow-up to 1997's "What's Your Name, " will be recorded, as Sandler plans to work around his rather hectic shooting schedule.

As for the movies, Sandler is currently wrapping up his part in "Big Daddy" with Joey Lauren Adams, Rob Schneider, Jon Stewart, and Kristy Swanson, which will finish shooting in New York within the week. In the film, Sandler plays the part of a man who is upset that his brother is getting married and adopts a child to get a girlfriend.

His next picture is "Little Nicky," in which the funny man plays the part of the devil's son, whose father wants him to take over the family business. The script, co-written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, is currently in development, and "Little Nicky" has yet to be cast or assigned a director,

but is expected to start shooting in mid-1999.
