Q-Tip Sets November Date For "Amplified"

Q-Tip, riding high on the success of his "Vivrant Thing" single, has set November 23 as the release date for his debut solo album, "Amplified.

Amplified," the first release under Tip's new worldwide record deal with Arista Records, was produced by The Ummah (Q-Tip and Jay Dee) and DJ Scratch (see [article id="1425430"]"Q-Tip Talks New Solo Sound; Eyes Collaborations With Beastie Boys, Radiohead, Eve"[/article]).

The first single from the album, "Breathe And Stop," should be hitting the airwaves within a few weeks.

Besides putting the finishing touches on "Amplified," Q-Tip is also hard at work on his first major film project, "Prison Song." In addition to starring in the movie, the rapper co-wrote the script with director Darnell Martin (see [article id="1426142"]"Q-Tip Set To Star In 'Prison Song' With Mary J.
