Q-Tip Does "Ride" Video With Alanis Director

Q-Tip has just released "Let's Ride," the third single from his solo debut album "Amplified," and he's just shot an "ironic" video for the song.

The clip was directed by acclaimed photographer/director Stephane Sednaoui, the man behind Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" video (the one featuring four Alanises riding around in a car). Considering the song's title, Sednaoui also decided to put Q-Tip in an automobile for his "Let's Ride" video.

The clip finds Q-Tip driving, as well as making a move to the back seat of, a rare Lamborghini truck (the only one of its kind in New York City, according to his label, Arista Records). The clip was shot in Q-Tip's native Queens, New York, and also features a cameo by Busta Rhymes.

The former Tribe Called Quest frontman has just hit radio waves with the new single, which was produced by Tip himself and Jay Dee, a fellow member of production entity The Ummah.

Director Sednaoui, in addition to his work with Morissette,

has previously directed videos for Beck ("Mixed Bizness"), Bjork ("Big Time Sensuality"), Fiona Apple ("Sleep To Dream"), Madonna ("Fever"), Smashing Pumpkins ("Today"), and the Red Hot Chili Peppers ("Around The World").

Meanwhile, as we previously reported, Tip has been ordered to appear in court to answer to charges that he allegedly assaulted a man inside a Times Square record store in New York City (see "UPDATE: Q-Tip To Appear In Court On Possible Assault Charge").
