Primus, Type O Negative, System Of A Down, More Set For Locobazooka

Primus, Type O Negative, System Of A Down, Drain STH, and Static-X are among the heavy hitters who have been tapped to take the stage at this year's Locobazooka, Boston's annual hard rock love-in.

This year's show is set for September 19 at Green Hill Park in Worcester, Massachusetts, and will also feature sets from Machine Head, Puya, Staind, Verbena, Dovetail Joint, Tree, and a host of local acts.

The gig is being put together by 3D Entertainment and is sponsored by Boston area hard rock station WAAF.

The event gives recent Ozzfest grads Primus, Drain STH, Static-X, and System Of A Down (recently named Best International Live Act at the Kerrang! Awards) a chance to greet the masses again. It will also give Type O Negative the opportunity to roll out new material from "World Coming Down," which should hit stores two days after the show on September 21.

Locobazooka will also feature performances from Boston-based Chaotic World Wrestling, an indie outfit that boasts

characters like the Obscene Jester, Jean-Pierre le Butt, and Granny Burns.

This year marks the eighth annual Locobazooka, which in the past has hosted Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock, Faith No More, and actually provided the setting for Godsmack's live "Whatever" video. For more on Locobazooka, check out www.locobazooka.com.
