Poison Singer Fears For His Life

Jan. 23 [12:00 EST] -- Bret Michaels, singer for the allegedly reformed Poison, says he's hired a private investigator because he feels he's been targeted for death by a person or persons unknown.

Last spring, he says, his Nashville home was set afire after he refused to sell X-rated sex tapes he'd made with his ex-girlfriend, Pamela Anderson.

Following the fire, Michaels says, his dog was killed and his car was sabotaged.

Most recently, he says, a tire mysteriously flew off his truck while he was driving it, and an investigation revealed that all five of the tire's lug nuts had been sheared off. A highway-patrol investigation is underway.
