Good Behavior Gets Morrison Out Of Jail

July 2 [10:00 EDT] -- Officials cite "good behavior" in explaining the release of "Return of the Mack" singer Mark Morrison after he served half of his three-month prison sentence.

As we reported earlier this week, Morrison (whose still has a top ten hit in the U.S.) is a free man after being released from London's Wormwood Scrubs prison after serving six weeks of his term.

Morrison picked up a three-month sentence for threatening a police officer with a stun gun, and then managed to rack up two other convictions while behind bars. The singer was found guilty of attacking a man and his car in a London street, and another for destroying a photographers camera.

Despite the fact that Morrison was hit with these two convictions while serving his sentence, official released the singer early for his good behavior while in jail.

The singer was back in a British court Monday morning however, being fined the equivalent of $250 for a pre-prison driving offense.
