LFO: "We Have Longevity"

The artists formerly known as "Lyte Funky Ones," LFO, will enter the "Billboard" album charts next week at number 21 with their self-titled debut.

Considering that the group's single, "Summer Girls," has been fairly unavoidable as of late, some might think that the (relatively) low debut might be cause for the guys to worry. Not so. The Abercrombie & Fitch-loving trio is apparently hoping to follow in the footsteps of the Backstreet Boys... or, at the very least, the example of the group's first disc, as LFO's Brad Fischetti explained.

Brad told MTV News, [article id="1446917"] "I think Backstreet, you know, their first album has been out for probably 90 weeks already, or 75 weeks, whatever, and never hit number one. It took them a long time to get number one [with "Millennium"], so we're not expecting, like, first week to jump number one. But we know the album is good, and we know it has longevity, whether it hits number one or not, I'm not sure, but

it has longevity. I think it's going to last us throughout the next... the whole year." [RealVideo][/article]

LFO will be joining Britney Spears, the Moffatts, Mya, and Divine for "YM" magazine's Rising Star Concert on September 24 in Los Angeles.
