Rodney Jerkins Keeps Busy With "The Parkers," Spice Girls

Red-hot producer Rodney Jerkins, who has recently cranked out hits for the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Brandy and Monica, is now expanding his horizons to include making music for television.

Jerkins just composed and produced the theme song to "The Parkers," a new UPN sitcom that is a spinoff of Brandy's "Moesha" series. The new show premiered Monday night and stars stand-up comic Mo'Nique as well as former "Moesha" cast member Countess Vaughn, who performs the Jerkins-created theme song.

Meanwhile, Jerkins himself is currently in London, England, working on several tracks on the upcoming Spice Girls album (see "Spice Girls Producer Jerkins Promises 'Urban' Feel On New Album"). In the near future, Jerkins will also be producing tracks for Will Smith, Michael Jackson and LeAnn Rimes, among others (see "Spice Girls, Will Smith, Puff Daddy, Toni Braxton Line Up For Rodney Jerkins").
