Rapper Ice-T has become the latest hip-hop artist to ink a deal with the controversial music site MP3.com, where he has posted a sound file containing "Don't Hate the Playa," the first single from his upcoming record, "The Seventh Deadly Sin."As part of the agreement, Ice-T will also contribute a regular feature to the site, "Ice Picks," in which the rapper will recommend and review other hip-hop and rap tracks available at MP3.com. "Ice Picks" will also provide Ice-T with a forum to voice his opinions on technology and the industry via occasional editorial pieces. In a promotional stunt for the joint venture, one lucky fan who downloads "Don't Hate the Playa" will win a trip to Los Angeles to meet and have dinner with Ice-T, courtesy of MP3.com. No definite date has been set for the release of "The Seventh Deadly Sin," but the rapper is hoping to have the record in stores this summer with a major headlining tour to follow.
