Reverend Horton Heat Road Tests New LP
The Reverend Horton Heat has just embarked on an extensive three-month tour to help promote his sixth album, "Spend A Night In The Box," due out on March 21.
Box," which takes its name from a line in the 1967 Paul Newman film "Cool Hand Luke," marks the Reverend's first album as part of a new deal with Time Bomb Recordings, the label that also recently expanded its roster to include emo-core's Sunny Day Real Estate.
The new LP was produced by the Butthole Surfers' guitarist, Paul Leary, and recorded at Pedernales Studio in Lake Travis, Florida, a site that was previously a country club before Willie Nelson purchased and remodeled it in the 1970s. The first single from "Spend A Night In The Box" will be "Sue Jack Daniels," a track that is already attracting spins on college radio.Dates where you can catch a music sermon from Reverend Horton Heat:- 2/11 - Lake Buena Vista, FL @ House Of Blues
