Ol' Dirty Bastard Sentenced To Drug Treatment

On Friday, Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard was sentenced to spend 180 days at the Impact House drug treatment facility after pleading no contest to violating his probation in March.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Superior Court said that O.D.B., whose real name is Russell Jones, will not be allowed to leave the facility while serving out his entire term.

Friday's court order comes after the rapper's 90-day evaluation by the California Department of Corrections. As we previously reported, O.D.B. was ordered to undergo the evaluation after admitting to a judge that he had violated his probation (see [article id="1429386"]"Ol' Dirty Ordered To Prison For Evaluation"[/article]). The evaluation included an assessment of his criminal record and a psychological evaluation.

O.D.B.'s probation violation stems from an incident back in January, when he was kicked out of Impact House after allegedly getting drunk following a New York

court appearance (see [article id="1429395"]"O.D.B. Likely To Get Two Years Behind Bars, Prosecutor Says"[/article]).

He is due back in court on September 21 for a progress report.
