Our Lady Peace Taps Foos, Pumpkins For Summersault
After sitting out last summer, Our Lady Peace plans to revive its Summersault festival for a string of Canadian dates in August, and the band has already lined up the Smashing Pumpkins and the Foo Fighters for the shows.
Our Lady Peace is co-sponsoring the tour with House Of Blues Canada, and additional artists and a complete schedule for Summersault 2000 are expected to be announced in the next few weeks.
OLP originally staged the Summersault fest in 1998 and was joined by Garbage, The Crystal Method, Sloan, Hayden, Esthero, Fuel, and I Mother Earth for five summer shows in the Great White North (see [article id="1427699"]"Our Lady Peace Taps Garbage, Crystal Method, More For Summersault"[/article]).Last summer, Our Lady Peace decided to opt out of touring with Summersault in order to continue working in its newest album, "Happiness... Happiness" was released in the U.S. in September 1999 and has sold some 121,000 copies to date, according to SoundScan.In related news, Our Lady Peace was forced to scale back a few dates of its upcoming U.S. tour after bassist Duncan Coutts sprained his wrist while snowboarding over the weekend. Coutts is expected to fully recover in time for the U.S. jaunt, which was to begin on April 13 in Cleveland.
