Filter Returns To Desert For New Video
Apparently, the men of Filter have a thing for sand.
After taking to the desert last summer for its "Welcome To The Fold" video, the band is currently in the Mojave Desert shooting a clip for "The Best Things." The video will be the first from the soundtrack to the upcoming "The Crow: Salvation" film and the third from Filter's "Title Of Record" album. (The band's two desert shoots were buffered by the underwater clip for "Take A Picture.")
The new video promises some fast-paced muscle car action and sees the band team up with "Crow 3" star Kirsten Dunst (who recently showcased her video acting chops in Savage Garden's "I Knew I Loved You" and Air's "Playground Love"). In the Filter video, Dunst will play just one of the many, many beautiful women in the band's entourage.Fred Ward (who plays a police captain in the upcoming film) and Eric Mabius (who plays The Crow) also turn up in the clip, which should surface in mid-March.The Crow: Salvation" hits theatersin April, while the soundtrack (which also features Rob Zombie, Kid Rock, Static-X, Hole, Tricky, and others) will pop up in stores on March 28.
