Green Day, Semisonic, Dust Brothers Set For EndFest

As the season for radio-sponsored festival shows begins to wind down, some of the hottest names in alternative rock, including Green Day, the Dust Brothers, Semisonic and Harvey Danger will converge in Seattle on August 1st for this year's EndFest.

The concert, which is being held at the Kitsap Bowl, features an unusually balanced line-up of alt.rock and electronic acts ranging from Marcy Playground and Stabbing Westward to the Crystal Method and Josh Wink.

Perhaps the show's greatest coup is the scheduled performance by the Dust Brothers, a rarity for the duo of John King and Mike Simpson, who will make one of their sole concert appearances of 1998 to DJ at the fest's Electronic Pavilion.

Other acts rounding out the bill include: Alex Gifford of the Propellerheads, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Blink 182!, Feeder, Grant Lee Buffalo, the Urge, Creeper Lagoon and Modest Mouse.

Fans interested in heading to Seattle for this year's EndFest should be prepared to shell out a few

extra bucks for scalped tickets, as the concert has already sold out.
