Rah Digga Gets Hometown Key, Unleashes "Harriet"

Busta Rhymes' female protégé Rah Digga was in her hometown of Newark Tuesday evening for a very special occasion. In addition to celebrating the release of her solo debut album, "Dirty Harriet," she received the key to the city that raised her.

Newark's mayor, Sharpe James, was on hand to present Digga with the honor at the city's Blazin' Soundz record store.

Rah Digga, who was originally discovered by Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest, has worked with some of the biggest names in the hip-hop biz, including The Fugees and of course, Busta Rhymes. She also does double duty as an MC in both Busta's Flip Mode Squad and her New Jersey rap squad, The Outsidaz (she appears on the group's current "Night Life" EP).

Dirty Harriet" features input from Eve, Sonia Blade, The Outsidaz, and Carl Thomas. The album's current single, "Imperial," features Busta Rhymes.
