According to Stabbing Westward's record label, the band has been tapped to open a string of dates on Depeche Mode's upcoming U.S. tour.

The Chicago-bred industrial-flavored rock outfit will hook up with Depeche Mode when that band launches its first U.S. tour in five years on October 27, and will tour with the group through late December.

DM is mounting the tour in support of its upcoming two-CD retrospective "The Singles '86-'98," while Stabbing Westward is still touring behind its most recent effort, "Darkest Days.
