Chemical Brothers "Surrender" To Friends In Oasis, New Order, Mercury Rev

Two years ago the Chemical Brothers fired off the first major salvo of (what was supposed to be) the electronica revolution with a pair of hit singles, "Setting Sun" and "Block Rockin' Beats," from their 1997 effort, "Dig Your Own Hole."

Now the mastermix duo of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons have set a June release for their new album, "Surrender," which features guest appearances from old friends Jonathan Donahue of Mercury Rev and Noel Gallagher of Oasis, both of whom also helped out on "Dig Your Own Hole."

In addition to those returning guests, "Surrender" also features contributions from the likes of New Order's Bernard Sumner, Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie and Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval.

The Chemical Brothers will release "Hey Boy, Hey Girl" on May 18 as the first single from "Surrender," and plan to return to the states as part of a major North American tour this summer.
