Lenny Kravitz, who picked up a pair of 1999 Video Music Award nominations yesterday for his "Fly Away" video, has just announced dates for his next round of North American touring, slated to start on August 25 at Minneapolis' Target Center.
Joining Kravitz for most of the stops on the tour will be Smash Mouth and Buckcherry, while the Freestylers will also appear on the first two weeks' worth of dates (see "Freestylers Kick Off North American Dates; Tapped To Open For Kravitz, Smash Mouth").
Kravitz (and director Paul Hunter) have been nominated for 1999 VMAs in the categories of Best Male Video and Best Rock Video for "Fly Away." Hosted by Chris Rock, this year's VMAs will be televised live from the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City on September 9 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
