Massive Attack Remixed By Blur

Massive Attack is releasing a new single re-mixed by members of Blur. Britain's "New Musical Express" reports that a new version of the song "Angel," courtesy of Blur singer Damon Albarn and guitarist Graham Coxon, is scheduled to be the main track on a single to be issued in mid-July.

The magazine notes that it's Albarn's first commercially distributed remix. He had worked on a mix with Tricky two years ago but the pair had a falling out and the tracks were never released.

A spokesperson for Blur told "NME" that Massive Attack had approached Albarn and Coxson just three weeks ago and that the duo, big fans of the band, had accepted immediately.

In other news from the Blur camp, Albarn has also admitted to "NME" that his four- year relationship with Elastica singer Justine Frischmann has ended. He told them that they have separated but remain very much in each other's lives.
