It looks as though the lineup for this year's Tibetan Freedom Concert in Amsterdam will rival that of the U.S. show, as Alanis Morissette and Blur have just been added to the bill.
Morissette and Blur join the previously announced list of performers for the Amsterdam show, including Rage Against The Machine, Garbage, Luscious Jackson, Ben Harper, Radiohead's Thom Yorke, and Joe Strummer.
Organizers for the Tibetan Freedom Concert in Sydney, Australia have also bolstered its lineup over the last few weeks by tapping more than a half-dozen more artists, including You Am I, Trans Am, Jebediah, and Blackalicious, among others.
As we previously announced (see "Garbage, Run-DMC, The Cult For Tibetan Freedom Concerts"), the American show being held at the Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy, Wisconsin, will feature sets from the Beastie Boys, Outkast, Run-DMC, the Roots, Blondie, the Cult, Live, Tracy Chapman, Biz Markie, and
Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder.
The four Tibetan Freedom Concerts, slated for East Troy, Sydney, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, will all be held on June 13. For more announcements and updates regarding this year's multinational event, be sure to check out the Tibetan Freedom Concert's official Web site (www.tibet99.com).
