Fun Lovin' Criminals Nix Tour; Dangerman To Open For Blondie

The Fun Lovin' Criminals have pulled the brakes on the group's North American spring tour with Dangerman, an outing that was set to kick off in Ottawa, Ontario on May 10.

A spokesperson for the band's label, Virgin Records, stated that the Criminals chose to cancel the shows due to "logistical problems," and management has confirmed that the group plans to make up the dates in the late summer or early fall.

The big winner emerging from the cancellation may, in fact, turn out to be Dangerman, who has now secured the opening slot on Blondie's upcoming tour (see [article id="1426221"]"Blondie Eyes First U.S. Tour In Sixteen Years"[/article]), which will now launch on May 14 at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.

In related news, the Fun Lovin' Criminals have now decided to promote "Big Night Out" instead of "Korean Bodega" as the first U.S. single from the band's current album, "100% Colombian.
