Make Your Own Beastie Boys Best-Of

Got a problem with the Beastie Boys' upcoming "The Sounds Of Science" compilation? Can't believe they're including the Fatboy Slim remix of "Body Movin'" instead of the original? Miffed that "The Biz Vs. The Nuge" beat out "3 Minute Rule?" Stunned that "Song For The Man" is included and "Johnny Ryall" isn't?

Now you can do something about it.

From November 1 to December 31, the Beastie Boys are offering fans with Internet access the chance to visit a participating music retail site and create a their own Beastie Boys compilation, from the track listing to the title.

To make the-deal even sweeter, the B-Boys' new single, "Alive," will be offered for download free of charge to anyone who participates in the limited time deal. The standard version of "The Sounds Of Science" will be in stores on November 23 (see [article id="1425428"]"Beastie Boys To Drop Mad 'Science' On Career-Spanning Anthology"[/article]).

Included in the 150 tracks

being made available for the compilation are two songs that the Beastie Boys did with their former DJ, DJ Hurricane, ("Four Fly Guys" and "Stick 'Em U") as well as rare b-sides including a cover of the Doors' "Light My Fire.

The group and its label, Grand Royal/Capitol Records, are offering the customized anthologies in conjunction with musicmaker.com. Other retailers participating in the offer include Best Buy, CDNow, Tower Records, Virgin Records, and Wherehouse.
