They Might Be Giants, Basement Jaxx, OPM For "Malcolm"

In the grand tradition of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch" comes the television soundtrack to the breakout FOX-TV series "Malcolm In The Middle."

Slated to contribute new songs to the impending LP are They Might Be Giants, Basement Jaxx, and alternative foursome Flak.

Although most of the acts will only serve up one cut each, They Might Be Giants will deliver three previously unreleased tunes, including the show's theme song, "Boss Of Me."

Also appearing on the album is skate-rock band OPM with "Heaven Is A Halfpipe," which also appears on the group's debut CD, "Menace To Sobriety." The LP features guest appearances by Angelo Moore from Fishbone, Eric Avery of Jane's Addiction, and Ulises Bella and Asdru Sierra from Ozomatli. Currently in heavy rotation on MTV2, OPM will be supporting the new album out on tour with Eve 6 on a trek that kicks off on Tuesday in Minneapolis.

As for the "Malcolm In The Middle" soundtrack,

it's slated to drop November 7.
