The B-52's have signed on to perform on Showtime Networks' Main Stage on June 25, as part of the 30th Annual Atlanta Pride festival, a three-day celebration which is expected to draw an estimated 300,000 people.

The Festival event is being held by The Atlanta Pride Committee, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing awareness of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GBLT) community and celebrating the right to enjoy an alternative lifestyle.

Fred Schneider, Keith Strickland, Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson will perform their memorable party songs "Love Shack," "Rock Lobster," "Roam," and more to cap off a weekend of performances by local and national musicians.

"We are delighted to be involved with such a significant

organization as Pride," said group member Cindy Wilson. "The B-52's have always been regarded as being out of the main stream and we embrace Pride's mission to show that every member of the community contributes to the good of the whole. We hope that our playing for Atlanta Pride will promote unity and self respect and will allow us all to have a great party!"

The Atlanta Pride Festival will be held from June 23-25 in the city's Piedmont Park.
