Hot Boys Scorch Charts With Top 5 Debut

Featuring the all-star lineup of Cash Money rappers Juvenile, B.G., Lil' Wayne, and Turk, the Hot Boys are set to light up next week's Billboard's Pop Album chart next week, thanks to selling some 142,000 copies of their record, "Guerilla Warfare," during its first week, according to SoundScan figures.

From an accounting standpoint, the large first week sales from the group actually makes a great deal of sense, considering that Juvenile's "400 Degreez" album landed in the top 20 for several weeks, and that B.G.'s "Chopper City In The Ghetto" entered into the charts at number nine back in April.

In a recent interview with the MTV Radio Network, B.G. said that he and his Cash Money cohorts plan on keeping up the good work by keeping together.

shows] we ain't trying to change nothing. People get up there, then try to do other things, and go get other producers, and do all this."[/article]

[article id="1438592"] "Man, if [Cash Money producer] Manny Fresh gonna continue to do all our tracks like he been doing," B.G. continued, "we're gonna continue to keep unity amongst our clique, and we're just gonna handle our business. It's just that simple. I don't think [anything] in the industry [can] fade us right now. We holding it down." [RealAudio][/article]

B.G., Juvenile, and the entire Cash Money clique are currently out on the road right now, along with Too Short and JT Money. They hit Mud Island in Memphis tonight.
