About The Woodies

Thursday, March 16, 2017

The 2017 MTV Woodies may be over, but they won't soon be forgotten! Rap legend Rick Ross got the party started, and introduced the show. First up was D.R.A.M, who joined forces with Lil Yachty to perform a major mash up of "Cash Machine," "One Night" and "Broccoli." Starley lit up the stage with her latest single "Call On Me" just before Khalid tore up his hits, "Let Go" and "Location."

Jidenna came back to the Woodies stage for round two, performing "Helicopters" from his latest album, followed by Desiigner's epic rendition of "Outlet" — marching band and all. The Chainsmokers were our big winner of the night, taking home Woodie Of The Year, just before our host Rick Ross took to the stage to perform "I Think She Like Me" and rep his new album, "Rather You Than Me."

Plus, we're still buzzing from epic festival performances by MUNA, PVRIS, Young M.A. and Bibi Bourelly, Lil Yachty and D.R.A.M. who kicked things off before the main show!
