VMA 2017Brace yourselves for the biggest party of the year! The 2017 Video Music Awards will return to the west coast at The Forum in Inglewood, California! Make sure you clear your calendar when it all goes down LIVE on Sunday, August 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In the meantime, let's reflect on last year…

There is no question about it: The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards absolutely slayed. Taking over one the world's most famous arenas, Madison Square Garden in New York City, the 2016 VMAs were certainly a blank canvas that each artist made their own. And there was no shortage of talent! Opening the show was our woman of the night, Video Vanguard honoree Rihanna, who performed a dancey medley to her hottest hits like "Needed Me" and "Stay." RiRi then threw it back to our social media correspondents Key and Peele who delivered laughs, tweets and truth bombs throughout the night. Let's not forget Drake, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas, Ty Dolla $ign, Britney Spears and G-Eazy (just to name a few) whose performances had us feeling allllll the feels. Oh, then there was that moment when Queen Bey hit the stage for a jaw-dropping performance and the world stopped - we all officially died and went to heaven. Luckily we're not ashamed of our ugly cries.

To relive all of the incredible moments, be sure to catch the full show and all of the highlights. Check back here for more 2017 Video Music Awards announcements, and stay up to date on the latest by following our social handles!
