Nicki Minaj KILLED IT during her mash-up of "Trini Dem Girls/The Night Is Still Young," along with her super surprise guest Taylor Swift (squee!), followed by critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and R&B superstar The Weeknd making his VMA debut with the first-ever televised performance of his hit single "I Can't Feel My Face." But, the night quickly became dominated by the ~ladiez~, when Taylor Swift scooped up the Best Female Video for "Blank Space," and Tori Kelly absolutely shut the Microsoft Theater DOWN when she sang "Should've Been Us." Justin Bieber made his epic return to the VMA stage with a high-flying performance of "Where Are Ü Now/What Do You Mean?", and Kanye West was also honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, delivering one of the most memorable VMA acceptance speeches of all time.
The biggest award of the night, Video Of The Year, went to Taylor Swift for "Bad Blood." Just when the crowd thought the show was over, host Miley surprised EVERYONE with a candy-colored, drag queen filled finale of her new song, "Dooo It." Can you even?!
