On this episode of True Life we follow Grace, an American high school student who moves to New Zealand.
lol @ ashley. ur still insulting russia lol
She's weird...
People in New Zealand are different. I like what the girl says starting at 31:32
I know how the girl feels moving to an unfamiliar place and especially going to a new school. I hated the experience as I was growing up. But, just like myself, hopefully she adjusts to new changes in life. Sometimes, you have to do what you don't want to do in order to get what you want/need.
what she means is that as an american when we think of international we think of weird, far off, speaking a different language country i.e. russia
umm at 32:00 she seriously said the most ignorant comment ever! The guy goes "oh you're an international student" and she replies "no, I'm not from Russia" WTH?!
lol!! its so funny to watch her and cameron flirt!!
I have felt like that before, like all of it. never a good experience to have
As someone who's lived in the same state and going to the same school my whole life, I have no idea how it would feel but I can only imagine leaving all your friends and family would be horrible. My grandparents moved 8 hours away from my mom and I about three years ago and it was very hard, but to move out of the country?... that would be crazy. God bless her, I probably couldn't do it.
That English teacher really doesn't know
Cool is a cool guy?
I know how she feels, I moved from Europe to America 6 years ago and now after having to adjust to a new life here I have to leave and move back to Europe again.... leaving all friends and boyfriend..
:/ This is like my situation. I moved from America to Malaysia. It's been about a year and I'm still adjusting, I guess it doesn't help that I'm home schooled...
I AGREE WITH AND IT MAKES IT WORSE THAT WHEN SHE MOVED TO NEWZEALAND THAT IT WAS ONLY A YEAR AND SHE HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. TRUE SHE LIKED IT THERE BUT THAT IS WRONG OF HER FATHER. WHY DIDN'T HE GO BY HISSELF????
Is it weird that I feel like the English teacher is 100 times more misinformed and unintelligent about culture than the Americans she accuses of being unintelligent? "More like a Kiwi than an American," hmm, has it ever occurred to her that maybe more Americans than she thinks are similar to Grace and dissimilar to those she sees in the media?
I know how u felt I had to be the new girl twice. :(
i live with Cam. hes my flatmate
