i havent read all of the comments that have been posted but i just want to clarify that those members of Z Phi B in no shape form nor fashion are racist nor meant anything racial by calling the members of the latina sorority basura primarily for one reason Zeta Phi Beta Sorority INC is constitutionally bound to Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity INC and one of their brothers founded Sigma Lambda Beta which in turn sparked the creation of Sigma Lambda Gamma both latino frat and sorority founded in the 90's making ZPBS and SLB SLG what is called a FIRM family. Albeit it disrespectful and immature that they called them basura these were college students think about all the dumb mistakes people make during their college years. Secondly the woman who called them basura is herself LATINA which is in no form racist on her part it is similar to any other ethnic group or race who uses derogatory words against each other it may not be right nor respectful but it is just the way the world works. As i understand both sides of the story as if this white vs black and the blacks won and it got changed it would have been something huge BUT seeing as how there are 4 uniquely different black sororities that may have been repesented in that step comp with multipe chapters representing each of the individual orgs i personally feel like they should not have won. Lastly knowing its a comp people put their all into it as you can obviously see from the episode and it is just disappointing all around when you dont win and people displace their anger that is all it is to it and its nothing about race its all about respect and i believe it was lacked on both parties sides.

Well i love duh show but however i don't feel that duh latino team should have won, no i'm not a hater but i don't feel that they did a good enough job at all to have won if anything i feel that duh judges may have just took petty on them because they were the only latino team there but the way i feel also is that stepping has been around for along time and ONLY African American were doing it that was there thing so it doesn't make uh bit of seence for some other race to try and come along and take over the only thing black ppl actualy has uh History in, I mean i don't think they did good at all anybody could have easily flipped around and jumped on one anothers shoulders like uh bunch of monkeys like they did so come on just being real....

People who are not members of the Divine 9 BGLOs don't understand the significance of stepping in our organizations. Taking our traditions is not cool at all. I think that stepping is a healthy form of competition for both races.
There was no way the latina team should have won. They obviously let them win because they were latina. Its so obvious.
