Ashes, Chris, Gemma and Pa are young people whose lives revolve around the business of marijuana. Although passionate about their unorthodox professions, these entrepreneurs' dealings with weed threatens some of their closest relationships.

favorite episode of true life. ever.
im not a smoker but I wouldnt mind goin to that college out in cali and learen to grow my own supply to sell to madisional business, instead of selln it out on the street cuz seem like u can make alot & it seems very lucrative career. Ashes nig ups to her cuz i can see she wants to do more with her life then bein a "drug dealer"; butg im sure she will find ha way in lyfe & i wish ha all the luck. Gemma & pa just seem 2 dysfunctional 2 be 2getha & they need to grow upo for they daughter
Chris was the only person I could really take seriously. He was absolutely adorable, and it was good to see someone who was serious(and mature) about making a career with cannabis. Props to him :)
I haven't even finished the episode, but I just wanted to give Ashes a little hope. I am a felon as well, I was convicted a little over 8 years ago for possession of methamphetamine. For the first couple years after the conviction, I couldn't even get an interview, but I now have a job that I love working in the food production industry (and I make damn good money). With a record it's harder to get your foot in the door, but if you know where to look I'm sure you'll find something. I would suggest looking at jobs that don't deal with the public, try local commercial bakeries as many of them will overlook a criminal background, or look into warehouse positions. I also have close friends who work in adult stores, and most of them will overlook criminal histories as well, and you won't really have to compete as much with the high-schoolers because I have found that adult stores want slightly more mature employees. Well, I hope this has helped, or at least raised your spirits a little. Keep your head up and think positive and I'm sure you'll find something you love doing.
Gemma and Pa should NOT have a child...at all.
i applaud MTV for hiding this episode from their website so well, doesnt appear in the homepage, related videos , hell not even in the true life episode guides. Just goes to show who's a little bias, this should have more views than any stupid jersey reality tv about guidos getting HAMMERED and **** FACED and making bad decisions, but of course they do it with a legal drug right. Anyways im glad they showed at least ONE person here that can be a very nice, smart, and polite person that smokes cannabis but yet still just had to put the stereotypical hippies that dont get along, so much for progress mtv, so much for progress.
