Justin and Terry are registered sex offenders who live their everyday lives under major restrictions. Both men are reminded of their past mistakes as they carry around a stigma that could last their entire lives.
this same thing happened to my friend at a college party...i think states need to have a difference between man who abuse kids sexually and teenagers who just have sex!
in your situation honestly i feel like thats unexceptable compared to two teens who tried to date but thirty and fourteen thats like maulestation bro
They know the law. That's what I think lol.
I'm so happy for terry and i bless u with the best wishes . also justin ima on ur side and i think th they should gav u back ur life . they should change the laws and ima on ur team i wish u both the best wishes
Damn, Terry wasn't joking when he said he was on this show. :O
There is a good reason why people take issue with teenagers having sex...they are children, and people should definitely be concerned with the age of the partner they are engaging in intercourse with. A 15 year old is far less experienced in life than say a 25 year old, or even an 18 year old for that matter. During the period of transition from an adolescent into an adult, there is substantial developmental growth both emotionally and intellectually. Therefore, there is a clear difference in the ability to make accurate or pragmatic decisions based upon age. People don't trust their five year old to make rational decisions, even if that decision coincides with what they desire. You can apply the same logic to the age of almost any young person, whether their age is five or even sixteen. When you are an adult making a decision that goes against the best interest of a child, you are taking advantage of that said child because they do not know any better. Maybe not all teenagers are "innocent wallflowers," but some are. We cannot eradicate sex offender laws that protect the well-being of many innocent children to protect the well-being of a few irresponsible young men who can't keep it in their pants.
If its consensual, I don't think anyone should take issue with teenagers having sex. Eighteen year olds are not afforded the same privileges as a 21 year old yet they are tried with adult crimes. I think our justice system is seriously flawed. There is a three year gap between 15 and 18 and our teenagers today are not innocent wallflowers. State legislation needs to reflect this.
An 18 year old having sex with a 14 year old is kind of gross. And he is stupid for doing it again. I don't feel bad for him at all.
What I wanna know is if these girls or their parents felt they were harmed why wait several months or a year to tell the police anything? sounds to me like someone got their feelings hurt and were just being spiteful!
I think this is a bit harsh for both. I understand if it is a 30 year old man with an 11 year old. But 14 and 18 these kids probably were in school together. I feel this sex offender registry should be for people suffering from pedophilia, not a young person that decides to date a younger schoolmate.
18,
But dont 17 or 18 year olds make stupid decisions all the time?
Justin is too cute, I do feel bad for him.
Kinda. We, well i just stopped answering he texts a week ago. We've been on and off talking for over 4 years now.
do u still have tha guy around? it's gotta be water under tha bridge by now right?
I think you're ugly, Kelli.
MTV left out a lot of details from Justin's story. He wrote about what happened on this site (the first Justin): http://www.love-is-not-a-crime.com/RomeoAndJuliet000a000aMakes him even more sympathetic, honestly. And what a psychotic ***** his ex-girlfriend was. I hope karma bites her in the ass. Hard.
He certainly did.
Yes I wasn't brain dead, but if you get in trouble for something, normal people try not to do it again.
for ****'s sake
