Catch up with our friends, Craig and Morgan, from True Life's episode - I Need a Transplant
These two are so incredibly lucky. My friend passed away at 22 from Cystic Fibrosis because she was unable to find a lung donor in time. I hope that this gives others facing the same situations hope!
I also can relate! I have Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, however was diagnosed at 43! I had my transplant on 19 November 2010. So far everything is good and the cancer has stayed away! This is a lifetime battle and I wish cancersucks and Craig well! I had a new husband at the time of my diagnosis and he has been my angel! Thanks MTV for bringing the need for donors to the public!!!
I can relate to Craig and Kat's experience. I was diagnosed with Leukemia last year. I was 27years old, married for 3 years, had a daughter who was 6.5 months old at the time, a new house, and of course a dog named Buddy. We were devastated to find out 4/15/2009. I had a stem-cell transplant 8/4/2009, and my little brother who was 11 years old was my donor. (We just celebrated his 12th birthday!) I am glad to hear that my husband and I are not the only young couple who have had this experience. I am still waiting for my 1 year mark to my transplant anniversary. The latest in my health is I was told by my oncologist that I "could possibly have a tumor". I have more testing, and I am hopeful that it is nothing. Just wanted to say thanks to Craig and Kat for sharing your story.
