I had a job, thank you very much. No tax payers were paying for me or my child! It just wasn't shown in the episode because my job wouldn't allow the cameras there. And they didn't show it, but half way through I got my own apartment. But things happened a year later and had to move home. (Which is what they showed on the episode. This episode was filmed a little over a years period.

That woman, the first mom is trifling as hell. Period. No way would I throw out my daughter and granddaughter out because I wanna marry a young idiot who obviously can't even afford to take care of me WITH what comes with me, aka my kids. She's a damn fool. As soon as that young dude gets with someone else and leaves her dumb ass, she'll feel bad for the way she did her daughter.

I had a step mom that gave me a hard time about sleeping on the couch(no other place to lay since I wasn't allowed to sleep anywhere else) so she argued with me to get on the floor, let me mind you I had a 101.1 fever. She told me to get out of her house, she shut the door behind me, locked it, then called me in truant. Now she is a 3rd degree felon for trying to kill my father while her children was in his car. now she is accusing my father of molestation to get back custody of her kids. there is only so much you can do before enough is enough. There is no such thing as making the best of it in my case lol.

Okay the Mom who is dating the 20 something year old needs to open her eyes. He cannot afford to take care of you and your kids then he is not ready to be married. Unless your child is a problem there is no reason to kick them out of the house at 18. The guy's who is having problems with his step brother needs to chill out. Just be yourself and try to find something that you have in common instead of changing yourself and being unhappy. Treat him just like a person you are just meeting. Hang out when ever you can and get to know him a little each day until you guys get close. It can take a while but trying to force a relationship will hurt more than help. The girl who spent the whole show crying was selfish. I understand that you don't want the relationship between your mom and you to change, but you cannot take away her happiness for your own. Same as if your best friend starts dating you cannot sabotage their relationship to keep your friend to yourself. Doing things like that is how you end up alone.

I hope she (Rachel) reads these message boards. I am the same age as the mom and there's no way in hell I'd ever put anything or anyone before my children. She should have never had children if all it takes is for some young boy young enough to be her kid to make her forget her obligations to her own child. When that young boy leaves you (and he will) you will wish you had a relationship with your daughter. When your old and have no one to visit your sorry a$$ at the old folks home, remember that you made your choice. You are the worst type of parent there is!

i know her babys father he has borderline full custody of mel ali never has mel except for when she wants to parent every other 6 months its sad thats why you only see the little girl like twice because she NEVER has her shes a dead beat mom..apple doesnt fall far from the tree apparently lmao

Omg the old broad with the younger guy is a horrible mom-she is putting **** before her own daughter!!!! If she was a truly caring mom she would find a way to keep her daughter by her side and open her eyes to reality! That younger guy will find someone his own age and toss her old raggedy ignorant ass to the curve! It's just a matter of time. She's lucky her daughter has a big heart and hasn't completely stopped talking to her! I mean how loving does "oh you have to move out because my younger boyfriend is moving in" or "you have to move out because I want to live alone with my boyfriend" OMG SOOOOO IRRITATING! PIECE OF **** OLD HORNY INCONSIDERATE MOTHER! She has to "think" about letting her own daughter move back in!? It's like ***** she's your *** daughter she's not a druggie and has no bad habits (at least that were displayed on the show) but you have to think about letting her move back in or letting her live on the streets or bounce from house to house!
