pretty sure heidi does know. I mean at one point later in the series he owns up to it because she told him he had to apologize to lauren for everything he did to her. besides, if even brody knows for sure, I highly doubt heidi is just this innocent third party who knew nothing about it.
but they don't have any chemistry and at the end of the day really liking someone is not enough of a reason to stay with him. she's not excited about being with doug, and also remember that they dated before so she can't just jump back into feeling crazy about him. she should walk into work every day with a smile on her face and she just doesn't.
