I miss the old Heidi from season 1 and even back in Laguna Beach. She was so natural, and great friend to everyone, but then Spencer showed up and blew up everything.

It takes two to tango and Heidi is acting unreasonable in this situation. If she wants to break up with Spencer - then do it! Break up, no more expectations, let him go...sadly, we know she doesn't. They both love the anguish of their co-dependent relationship.
Oh an if you ever find yourself involved with a Spencer (I was married to one and with one 7 years!) you have to learn to grit your teeth and not respond to them. Don't respond to texts. Not to emails. If they come around, slip away. Don't talk to them. Don't even acknowledge they are walking on this earth. If you do this for a long, long time they will learn that you have regained control and move on to the next girl. And really, that's what you want.
Spencer was a mess at the beginning because he had lost control of Hiedi. So he manipulated her by showing up at the club and flirting with the girls so she'll get upset and he will be able to get some sort of sick kick out of her display of feelings/jealousy so in a way...he was really just demonstrating to himself and her that he was still in control. Guys like this...RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN
