It's a really bad rumor that could have had repercussions in so many different areas of her life. First of all, the rumor got back to Laguna and her parents and that could have seriously messed up Lauren's relationship with her parents. Second of all, it is ultimately what put the nail in the coffin of Lauren and Heidi's friendship which messed them both up for a long time afterwards. Third of all, in the first episode when Lauren and Whitney are talking to Lisa she makes it clear they represent Teen Vogue and that they are supposed to look great and not behave badly or do anything to possibly embarrass the magazine and since the rumor was so widespread it could have easily gotten back to her boss and cost Lauren her internship and made it difficult for her to get other jobs. And for once, I agree with something Jen Bunney said: it's not a little thing, it's not someone just kissing someone else, it's a big rumor that someone put on the Internet for everyone to read and talk about. And honestly I think Heidi does know she just doesn't want to believe it. I mean who would want to believe the person they love would do that to someone else? But Spencer hates Lauren and would have loved to wreak havoc on her life, and the fact is Heidi goes with him in everything he does and is like a freaking parrot repeating everything he says. She knows, she just doesn't want to look even worse than she already does.
Exactly! People are like, oh well all Heidi did was go for a promotion, she deserved it blah blah blah. Nope. Heidi got the job because she was on a popular tv show. Considering she has no college education, no real job experience, and no PR experience or portfolio.... if they were going up for the job without the cameras Elodie would have gotten it simple as that.
I think it was so big of Lauren to admit she was wrong and being too judgmental. I mean it looked like she tried to like Justin but she was so stuck on what happened in the past not only with what Justin did to Audrina but also with Heidi and Spencer. Her BEST FRIEND chose her loser, jackass of a boyfriend over Lauren who really was trying to be a good friend, but when someone hurts Heidi (and then Lauren) like Spencer did, why should she try to like him? I guess it just made Lauren scared she would lose Audrina to her Spencer-kind-of-guy.

I do think Spencer spreaded the rumors & Heidi i think went along with it as saying maybe its true or telling people./ something about her in this episode just makes me feel shes shady as hell
Well we all know for a fact that Spencer hates Lauren. & if you have so many of your friends saying its one person that you know of that hates you. Wouldnt you think to believe its true? I think it was him, i do think Heidi also was going along with it, you see how she just defends spencer, shes freaking under his spell,. Of course shes going to protect him
I think it's more that Spencer said it, Heidi knew and yet Heidi tolerated it. Well, that's how I took it.

Heidi used to be such a cutie— fun, unique, positive...then once she met Spencer it like, drained out of her. It's too bad.
what gets me a little mad is that how does lauren and everyone know that heidi started the rumors?
Justin is a good guy. I love how he doesn't get involved in drama or even wants to hear about other people's problems.
1st of Heidie shouldn't of token the job when she knew that Elodie wonted and Spencer is the one that is being a mean i am like wat is he doing w/ his life i think he wont's hiedie's money
