The good place will still be there when she returns from Paris if their relationship really was strong enough. She shouldn't have to give up this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a guy. He said he would be there for her and support her no matter what she ended up deciding, but I don't believe it for a second. LC must be suffering from severe brain damage.
