I dont think it's HIS fault. Derek is dead, therefore, he's really not working.. Sophia might be his child, but his family would get the money before she would.. They get paid on this show, maybe the family thinks thats enough?

it doesnt matter with a kid or not, you still SHOULD NOT BE VIOLIANT!!!!!!! And she does need to control her temper no matter what. amber does need to pay the price for what she did. if she goes unpunished shes gonna think, oh i got away with it the first time, i can get away with it agian and thats not right.

First off Farrah needs to shut her trap and listen to her mother about this petition she got served. It is serious and it isn't a little thing. SHE needs to grow up and stop acting like a brat. It's time to put your big girl pants on Farrah and relaize ish like this happens and sometimes you have to get a lawyer involved.

If Derek was alive and didn't claim Sophia as his daughter he would STILL be responsible for paying child support. So it doesn't make sense at all that she can't get his Social Security. She is entitled to it! That poor baby

"Mom, you need to quite being so emotional", says the girl who cried all through season one to the point where I fast-forwarded through her section of the show. Her mom's trying to help her & she's acting like it's not a big deal & being rude & disrespectful.

Sophia had rights to those benefits. Whether he "claimed" her or not, Farrah was pregnant & they had a rough patch in their relationship. Derek's mother should not be allowed to be the deciding factor, basically.
