I agree with chell, the money is for his child, why should his parents get that money when there not helping take care of Sophia, i do think that Dereks family should be more involved in with Sophias life. like child support is to support the child so that's what the social security should be for.

No, everyone I know who has a child with someone who passed away gets social security for their child. Why would his family get survivor benefits for Sophia??? They do not have to support or raise her

Amber really ticks me off. EVERYTHING is GARY GARY GARY...nothing is her fault. She needs to acknowledge her part in their relationship. I haven't seen this whole episode. I am at the part where they make their first trip to the lawyer's office, but, maybe this is what Amber needs. :Leah should be in the custody of Gary but under the circumstances that he does not get back together with Amber and Amber should have supervised visitation.

I find Tyler and Caitlyns story so inspiring but when it comes to their home life so sad. Tyler and Caitlin are more mature and responsible then their own parents no wonder they chose adoption and good for them
