My interpretation is that the pain he has gone through from the woman, though at first it seems was hurting or torturing him, only made him better/stronger in the end. His transformation at the end, and switching places with the woman show that he is the one who has come out on top, while she suffers. Just my take, knowing how the emotional roller coaster that Corey has been through. But I have heard that this is for is current wife, so that doesn't really add up. Wish I could just ask Corey. Either way, its a beautiful song and video, very artistic and shows just how much they have grown up. Some people are ready for it, but I love it!
