The 'Jersey Shore' cast is hosting "Restore the Shore," a benefit set to air live on Thursday, November 15, to raise money to restore Seaside Heights.
I can hardly believe Seaside Heights was hit so bad with Hurricane Sandy. This was always my familys favorite vacation spot every summer till my husband passed away. I remember carving my husbands initials with the letters RIP on the steel railing at the far end of the boardwalk the last time I visited the shore. Now that railing is washed out to sea forever. So sad. The boardwalk that we walked & danced on, all the little souveneir shops, the bars, places we ate, the rides we rode, the little motels & efficiency apartments we stayed at, & most of all, the beautiful beach where we tanned ourselves & watched the ocean while we fed the seagulls french fries & watched beautiful sunrises & sunsets & waited for hi tides from the peer are all gone forever. I hope they rebuild it exactly the way it was, maybe this time farther back from the ocean & deadly forces of mother nature. I hope everyone reaches out with their hearts & a little something from their pockets.
This is awesome what MTV and the Jersey Shore cast are doing to help with the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
