If you thought he was fake before this, then this interview should convince you otherwise. Personally, I don't know how anyone thought he was fake. I might not be from the hood, but I have spent a great deal of time with people from these areas and I have been in these areas frequently (visiting extended fam & friends), and I as a woman cry about what I see, about the hopelessness I see in the faces of the clients I help as an attorney-in-training. I understand his tears. God, I understand it.

Lupe was always both cool and real. He stands for 'change,' 'resistance,' and 'living in reality.' Real people know gang-banging isn't cool. It's all about psychology with people. We're born into this world learning from what we see, feel, and experience so it forms our 'reality' or 'perception' of life. In other words, how you were raised is 'most likely' how you may act. That's why some people think it's okay to kill, steal, and destroy and others know better.

When he came to my hood in New Orleans the "murder per capita capital" he shed some tears n spoke his mind, truth, beliefs and even began hitting on religion when speaking about "Katrina." He is deeper than Lil Wayne can ever be he has more respect for New Orleans than "The Greatest Rapper Alive" does and he's from Chicago!
