Once she could afford to be on her own, she moved to the Lower East Side and played 90 minute live shows. Maybe she was on to something.
Compelling interview...honest, no pretenses. I love listening to her talk. She has a brain and feelings, and is not afraid to exhibit either. No question that her family is her strength. She is as comfortable talking about setbacks and failures as she is her successes. I don't think she is anywhere near her peak...I'm happy to be able to witness the birth of a legend. More interviews like this, please.
