"It was an off night ... a weird night ... Harry Connick Jr. was the star, Lee Dewyze a close second," Jim says. (5.4.10)
someone please tell Crystal to stop her "attitude!" She can sing, but doesn't care! Lee and Mike are trying so hard! Sometimes, talent is just not enough. BTW, Crystal do you ever wash your hair?
Ha ha! "Summer's Eve . . Summer Wind". Nice. Mike was best of the night for me. Not only were his vocals on point but he was the best stage performer. Lee would be a very close second. One of the few nights I actually enjoyed him. BTW, I don't think Crystal has a bad attitude any more than Mike is arrogant, but they would both benefit in suppressing their personalities since viewers & voters tend to be sensitive. Poor Mike's image still hasn't rebounded since Top 9.
You're totally right as usual, Jim. Lee and Mike were the best and the only acceptable winners at this point. Crystal has peaked and she needs to take down the attitude a little bit. Aaron is a much better singer than Casey, but that's not saying much... And I'm excited for Gaga too. Undoubtedly her performance will be the best thing about this season.
Agree on it all. JFC Kara finally, the golden locks blinded her. Crystal and her attitude really need to step back. I don't want her off the show, but she needs to have a scare, producers please put her in the bottom 2? yeah i know she is one of the best this season, but the last two to be eliminated wanted to actually be there and did not bash the show.. i was beginning to like Crystal, but this annoyed me. HCJr was awesome. Now to me, that is what the mentors should be doing, spending a big chunk of time with the contestants from beginning to end. I wished he would have been on earlier in the season: top 7, then Keys at the top 5. I know the contestants are suppose to do it all themselves, but having the option to get the help, cannot hurt.
Huh? I thought Casey looked hot! Harry Connick was a little too cheezy for me, although I think he was a good mentor. Course if the Idols are supposed to be making these songs their own, what's he doing arranging them? And who can make a Frank Sinatra song their own anyway, besides maybe Mike? I liked Lee the best tonight; we actually saw some personality shining through. Otherwise I was unimpressed and bored, but I knew I would be with that genre.
