"We're grateful because so many artists showed up" says Wyclef Jean. (2.2.10)
you gotta know we are the world conveys a lot of message to the whole world its more of a clarion call to awaken the empathy to give underprivileged Haiti is in dire need
Lol Pina... Micheal most definitely is in the song. Janet Jackson comes in later for the harmony of that part. Hate to say it, but you wasted a TON of time... making a fool of yourself. Personally I suppose Quincy and Lionel Richie might have a little bit more experience in music than you.
Uh Michael is in the song hun, but this song is not about your "wants" or your "personal feelings" towards the artists, it is for the people of HAITI. That is all that matters.
It seems like the really biggest A list music stars aren't even part of this. Where's Jay-Z, beyonce, lady gaga, justin timberlake, eminem, christina, britney, taylor swift, alicia keyes. This isn't the biggest names in music today.
WITHOUT MICHAEL JACKSON'S VOICE, THE RECORDING IS HOLLOW. Quite frankly, it's insulting that they've excluded the man who wrote the song (Lionel was a contributor at best). Michael was the draw then and now. Quincy and Lionel should be ashamed of themselves for not including Michael's voice - it's his song! Apparently, Janet is singing Michael's part. I don't mean to be disrespectful to Janet but she is NO Michael - no one is - that's the point. He's simply irreplaceable. Quincy, add Michael back into the recording where he belongs. If not, not only will I not be buying it, I won't even listen to it or support anything else you or Lionel ever do.
