In front of a star-studded crowd, Whitney talks about her hiatus from music. (7.22.09)
Whitney Houston has been 'through the fire'. The catabolic energy out there in the universe that would persecute her for a 'fall from grace' need to show more compassion. Everyone makes choices in life. Few of us choose to live in fear, pain and hopelessness. In America, we build our recording artists up on pedestals and expect superhuman existence. They are human! Then when they fail to live up to the fairy tale existence or fail to meet the public's expectations, they spread hatred and loathing for how disappointed the 'stars' are. They are performers. Downtime is not an option. When they try to come down, they have to resort to chemical means because the rest of the world keeps them wound up all the time. I have prayed for Whitney. God gave her a beautiful gift...her voice. For those haters that state, 'if she has a voice' she'll come back, I wish to leave this message: I believe in the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When Whitney first began to sing, it was her Creator that provided the gift in the first place. My prayer is that having the resilient spirit of faith and trust, she will never again take the gift for granted, and that her trials and tribulations will be used to spread love, joy and hope to those who have lost their way. Whitney now has a true testimony with her life, that surpasses the 'love gone wrong songs' she used to sing. God has given her a testimony to a living witness of "Amazing grace". May peace and blessings continue to follow her. Dr. DIVA
