I do feel that saving Matt was just delaying the inevitable, but I'm still happy because they were all so happy - and hey, another week's exposure is worth tons!! I'd like to see a top three of Adam, Allison and Kris - they really are the best three, imo. And I just need to add that here in Canada I am unable to view the above video apparently (I don't really get why), yet you are mean enough to let me sit through the stupid commercial before letting me know, ugh.
I appreciate that Kris Allen sang a song that was current and from a movie that wasn't decades old. Kris's was the best song choice and performance this week. Touching and full of emotion. The itunes version of Kris's song is just amazing and beautiful. Kris picked a song that many people don't know, but took a risk, which I appreciate instead of the same old schlock songs every week. You can tell Kris is an artist and not just a singer. Plus simplicity is sometimes a lot better than bombastic. I still love Adam and Allison and Kris, but I prefer the artistry of Kris and the risks he takes. If not for Kris and Adam's performance the evening would've been a predictable SNOOZEFEST. That is what music is supposed to be about, not just singing a song, but knowing what to sing and being creative at it. Kudos to Kris Allen. I can see Kris putting out a cd that people would buy. Kris, Adam and Allison and Matt somewhat seem to the be the only ones marketable to any label to me.
