I do not in anyway believe that domestic abuse is EVER okay. However in this case, and while I don't know exactly what happened, I strongly believe that Rihanna started the physicality portion of their fight. I could very well imagine Chris and Rihanna arguing, her all in his face, muffing in him in the side of the head, calling him all kinds of names, and Chris trying to back off and tell her not to touch him at the same time, then her saying something like "what are you gonna do if I don't???" She continued to be all in his face saying dumb **** and then he went upside her head. Now if you look at Chris Brown's height and build and compare it to Rihanna's frail ass, you could conclude that if Chris wanted to knock her ass down he could've done it in one fatal swoop. It's obvious that there was a tussle. It takes two to tango, so I don't think Chris should take all the blame. I'm not saying what he did was right because it wasn't but, I also don't think a woman should EVER try to fight a man or be all in his face PURPOSELY trying to piss him off. Cause you might get one of them crazy ****** that if you hit them they'll hit your ass back just as hard, if not harder. I would never provoke a man, especially a man with a history like Chris Brown's. Basically both of them made a bad choice in this situation, Chris' mistake was hitting her and Rihanna's mistake was provoking him.

I agree with the one dude. If a man can go to the extent he did to cause those kinds of injuries, I think he could do it again. How could you be with anyone after that and trust them??? I would always have that underlying fear.

this whole thing is CRAZY!!! i feel sorry for both of them.. they both had marks on their body. i feel like no1 really knows what all happen yet and y this happen. i am a die hard Breezy fan but i still like rihanna. on the news they said that she hit him first when she found out that he was wit some girl.. if he was really beatin her a** like they r sayin then y would she hit him first.. i have came from a long line of abuse so i understand y everyone is making a big deal about it. i really hope he didn't do what they r saying and rihanna is fine and both of their careers wll be fine.. I would really miss seein him and as for her, her career was just starting to get better. she has been out for a loooooong a** time and now she's gettin somewhere so it would be sad to see her leave also

i am no longer a chris brown fan. i'm glad rihanna did the right thing and reported his ass. he can't get away with stuff like this..who the hell does his ass think he is??? rihanna is a princess in this industry, how dare he actually think that he could keep doing this to her? CHRIS BROWN I HOPE YOU CAREER GOES DOING THE TOILET! hahahaha, my new idol is in....00:27. : )

Just because you "love Chris" doesn't mean we have to sit here and ignore the fact that he beat Rihanna viciously. In fact, I can't help but notice that most of the women here supporting him on these posts do so because they have a crush on him. Please get real. Chris Brown does not love you back. He doesn't know that you exist as a matter of fact. If he beat down Rihanna, he'd be capable of doing it to you. Don't be so quick to throw your fellow women under the bus ('it's her fault, she deserved it' ) just because you think Chris Brown is cute. By his own words he says that men who physically hurt women are despicable. By HIS OWN WORDS! Get over the fantasy. He's not your boyfriend. He never will be. He is a spoiled young man who lowers himself to the level of fighting women. Losing your temper is no excuse. He needs to be punished. And I hope he will be. This is not about her giving him a disease and needing to be punished for it! If you give your boyfriend your cold because you kissed him, what should he do? Maybe a good "punishment" would be him slapping you across the face? This fight supposedly started over a normal lover's spat ( a text message sent to him by a girl) People like to spread nasty rumors when they don't have proof. However, there is physical proof of her getting beat up. Like any wife beater, I hope he goes to jail.

this is ridiculous!! no one knows exactly what happened, yet they are so quick to judge Chris. People who arent even fans or know anything about him are saying hes guilty without knowing any of the facts. what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Chris Brown fans need to support him now more than ever, because we dont know what happened, and he needs as much support as possible to get through this. No, i dont condone violence, but as a follower of Chris for years, most of us fans know that Chris would be the last person you'd suspect to do this, and you dont need to know him personally to know that he is a good kid. Obviously something has happened between the 2 that got out of hand, probably on both sides, and until any info is made public, in no way should people be putting such blame on 1 kid. and everyone seems to forget he still is only 19. Give the poor guy a break! I just think its disgraceful how everyone is just assuming that all the ridiculous rumours are true.
